Composition

Doxycycline monohydrate equivalent to 200 mg doxycycline base.

Indications

DOXY 200 is used to treat infections caused by pathogenic bacteria that are sensitive to the drug, taking into account the high rate of resistance of some pathogenic bacteria.

Infections it treats:

• Respiratory tract infections: pneumonia caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae.
• Urinary and reproductive tract infections:
  • Infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis, including urethritis, cervicitis, epididymitis, and orchitis.
  • Alternative medicine in the treatment of syphilis (in case of known allergy to penicillin).
  • Lymphogranuloma venereum.
  • Acute pelvic inflammatory disease.
• Epidemic typhus.
• Gastrointestinal infections: treatment of cholera (as an adjuvant).
• Lyme disease in its early stage (including the cutaneous form).
• Leptospirosis.
• Acne vulgaris and nodular acne.
• Treatment and prevention of malaria.
