Composition

Each bottle contains:

• Iron(III) hydroxide polymaltose equivalent to 50 mg elemental iron.
• Folic acid 2 mg.
• Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) 100 mg.

Indications

Therapeutic treatment:

• Treatment of iron deficiency anemia, treatment should continue for at least 4 to 6 months in conjunction with treatment of the underlying cause.

Preventive treatment of iron deficiency in at-risk groups:

• Pregnant women.
• People with unbalanced diets (eg, elderly people, vegetarians, vegans, people with anorexia nervosa).
• Patients with chronic bleeding.

Treatment of megaloblastic anemia resulting from folic acid deficiency.

Chronic absorption disorders such as:

• Malabsorption.
• Celiac disease.
• Performing a large resection of the digestive tract.

Folate deficiency is caused by:

• malnutrition.
• Chronic alcoholism.
