Composition

• Ferrous fumarate 308 mg (equivalent to 100 mg elemental iron).
• Folic acid 4 mg.
• Vitamin C 200 mg.

Indications

Therapeutic treatment:

• Treatment of iron deficiency anemia, with the need to continue treatment for a period of no less than 4 to 6 months in conjunction with treatment of the underlying cause.

Preventive treatment of iron deficiency in at-risk groups:

• Pregnant women.
• Unbalanced diets (eg, elderly people, vegetarians, vegans, people with anorexia nervosa).
• Chronic bleeding.

Treatment of megaloblastic anemia due to folic acid deficiency.

Chronic absorption disorders such as:

• Malabsorption.
• Celiac disease.
• Performing a large resection of the digestive tract.

Folate deficiency is caused by:

• malnutrition.
• Chronic alcoholism.
